Discover LA
Hollywood /  LA  / Long Beach / Santa Monica / Redondo Beach
Universal City Walk / Santa Catalina Island
These very popular day trips are for our members who live in the San Fernando Valley, California,  especially those
involved in supported employment, supported living and independent living programs.   We usually meet at Panera
Bread located next to the METRO Red Line / Orange Line Station in North Hollywood .The address is:
Panera Bread,   5300 Lankershim Blvd. North Hollywood, CA 91601.  There is plenty of free parking on the
weekends in the METRO Park and Ride lot at Lankershim and Chandler.

You must be a member of Special Excursions Travel Club in order to participate and you must be signed up for the
    trip.

We ride the rails to Universal City or Hollywood or LA or Long Beach on the Red, Blue, Gold or Green Line Metro
Rail Trains.     Please check the tour page to find out which attraction we are going to visit and where we are
meeting.  We head back to the valley between 4:00 pm and 6:00pm.    It's a really nice inexpensive way to get
together with your friends and a great way to meet new friends.

If you normally ride the METRO then bring your bus pass or reduced fare ID.  With a current monthly bus pass or
ACCESS pass there is no charge for transportation.  With a reduced fare ID it only costs $1.80 for a day pass to
ride the whole system. If you don't have either then it will cost $5.00 for the day pass.  It works on the Orange, Red,
Blue, Green and Gold lines.   There is a lot of walking around and going up and down stairs involved in these trips.
