Sheila Donnelly As a mother of a severely handicapped son Sheila is well versed in the needs of people with developmental disabilities. She has the understanding that only a parent who has dealt with this situation can have. Along with being a registered dietitian and scout leader Sheila is also one heck of a nice person. |
Cameron Glenar Cameron's first job was production line supervisor at New Horizons in the San Fernando Valley working with 20 consumers. That's 20 all at the same time! His whole line thought he was the greatest. He has traveled all over the United States, Canada, England, Scotland, France and the Caribbean. Cameron has escorted our members to the Eastern Caribbean aboard both the Carnival Triumph and the Carnival Victory out of Miami. He just returned from the Mexican Riviera on the new Carnival Splendor out of Long Beach. |
Neil Menzies Neil started working with the developmentally disabled back in 1975. He was responsible for the transportation department at New Horizons in the San Fernando Valley and one of his duties was organizing tours to places and events all over Los Angeles County. In 1979 several consumers who were good friends asked him to put together a tour just for them. They ended up over the years going as a group to San Diego, Las Vegas and Orlando. Neil has extensive experience working with clients who have multiple disabilities (Special Needs) and people who have a diagnosis of autism. He took our group on their first trip to the Caribbean on the Carnival Triumph back in April 2005. |
Greg Urich Greg's first involvement with our members was several years ago when Neil asked him to help out during the annual bazaar at New Horizons in the San Fernando Valley. He volunteered every year after that. Greg has been a tour escort on many of our excursions in LA and San Diego during 2005 including the very popular Miramar Air Show. He is one popular tour escort with our members. You can see him on the Miramar Air Show video fooling around in the Russian sub. Greg spent a summer traveling around Europe spending time in Greece, England and Scotland. He was one of our tour escorts on the Carnival Pride to the Mexican Riviera. During December Greg helped us escort another group down to the Caribbean on the Carnival Victory and in April 2010 he staffed another Eastern Caribbean on the Carnival Liberty. Greg was on board the Carnival Splendor in March 2011! Neil and Greg just returned from a great long weekend in San Diego with a group of our members visiting the zoo, Sea World and the aircraft carrier Midway. Awesome weekend! |
